He’s down on his knees,

Crippled with fear,

Begging God please,

Hoping he’ll hear,

Struck with a panic,

Deep down in his soul,

His head’s gone off,  manic –

Like he’s losing control.

His mind begins racing,

His thoughts, all over the place,

Threadbare carpet from pacing,

From when he’s tried to save face.

His Panic subsides,

He finds inner peace,

A turn of the tide,

He gets a release.

The knot from within,

Slowly becomes unfurled,

The anchor that traps him,

Drops the weight of the world.
